Produce five different “concepts” for an architectural renovation of the State Library. An architectural concept is an overarching idea, or set of ideas, that helps to drive your architecture. For this exercise, concepts can draw on any of the ideas that we have looked at so far in the semester (through any of the tasks) but they can also be completely new.
Multi Functional
The library should include multiple function of rooms, not only the private reading room, public reading room, also inclode entertainment rooms, gallery, correlative shows or rooms, theatre, restaurant, swimming pool, etc. Bring people different experience in one building.
Multi circulation
The library has variety of paths, elevators, escaltors provided to people, they can choose different circulation to achieve any rooms that get different experiences. And it's interesting to discovery a building without too much guidance.
Underground extension
The idea is coming from the tears of city, bring the library a large underground space, and provide different functions of room inside with same style of original building.
Public space

Bring the public space into the building, combine the building with the city, change the library original function to be more public, for example, path cross the building, or place for having a party, or rest space.From the reference picture, people can go through the building under the shelter, also can ride the bicycle inside the building.
smear
Use Escher's drawing's skills, use smear to twist the building, bring the library the visual illusion, people experience the slope floor, the curve roof inside the building.
